Does Dad love his truck? King of the grill? Road warrior? Office-bound when he's not out in the woods?

In this second part of our 2-part series, we've got camo gift ideas for every dad.

Camo Gift Guide #1: Camo Cook Set

Celebrate years of BBQ, hamburgers, steak, and hot dogs. Let Dad know you'll always remember his cooking, and he'll think of you every time he fires up the grill with a camo cook set. The three-piece gift set includes chef's apron, oven mitt, and pot holder. You can pick this up for around $35.

Camo Gift Guide #2: Camo Sunglasses

State-of-the-art camo sunglasses beat a stuffy tie any day. Give your dad the tactical advantage in the woods, on the lake, or on the road with camo sunglasses.

Find polarized, amber and gray lens styles from Mossy Oak and Ducks Unlimited for $13-$30.

Camo Gift Guide #3: Camo Truck Accessories

Does your dad's love for his truck border on obsession? That's fine. You can get him a gift you know he'll love: camo truck accessories. These may make him so happy, he might even let you borrow the truck.

Truck magnets, rear-view mirror hangers, hitch covers, mud guards, camo wheel covers, camo seat covers, camo floor mats, the possibilities are endless. You can spend anywhere from $14 to $45.

Camo Gift Guide #4: Leather Camo Pen & Pencil Set

Make this Father's Day a special occasion with a camo pen & pencil set in a Mossy Oak Break-up pattern. A leather-covered writing set really classes up Dad's favorite camo, and comes with a black display case.

The Camo Shop Offers Camo Gift Ideas for Father's Day

TULSA, Okla. - With Father's Day fast approaching, The Camo Shop has some new gift ideas for men who love the outdoors.

"There are so many camo gifts out there for the hunter and outdoorsman," said Tony Brobst, president of The Camo Shop. "The best thing to get him is something useful that reflects his passion for the outdoors."

One of Brobst's personal favorites is the camo briefcase. Many camo briefcases have padded interior compartments for laptops. And if he needs to carry a lot, an expandable camo briefcase lets Dad fit everything into one bag.

Another camo gift suggestion is a Father's Day classic: the tie. Camo ties come in a number of patterns, including RealTree, Mossy Oak, MAX-4, and Wetlands patterns.

"Since most men have to wear a tie at one point or another, it makes sense to have one that they like," said Brobst. "Camo ties work with just about everything."

Something else to consider when picking out a camo gift for Father's Day: does Dad have something that's about to need replacing, like a wallet or a watch? Bring on the camo.

Dads who like gadgets have some great options, too.

"We've got a camo digital watch that's got a compass, barometer, and altimeter," Brobst said. "It's handy for work, out on the lake or in the woods."

The Camo Shop Father's Day Gift Guide: Camo Gifts for the Professional

Father's Day is fast approaching. Have you started considering what to give your dad?

To help you prepare, here's the first part of a 2-part article that will give you some ideas for Father's Day camo gifts, whether you're looking for something to make him laugh or something he can use.

In this first article, we'll focus on some camo gifts for the consummate professional. (Hey, even the most avid outdoorsman still has to work occasionally.) Help your dad bring his love of the outdoors into his 9-to-5 job with these camo gifts.

Camo Gift Guide #1: Camo briefcase or laptop bag

What father doesn't need a place to keep all his work files? A new briefcase is always a good gift idea, and it's even better when it's a camo briefcase. If your father has a laptop, look for a briefcase that has a padded interior compartment so he can fit everything in one bag. It also helps to find a briefcase that's expandable, so that it's easy to get thing in and out.

Camo Gift Guide #2: Camo tie

Ties may sound like a traditional gift, but these are the ties that will make your dad the envy of his friends around the water cooler. Are any of them lucky enough to have a family member give them a camo tie?

Chances are good you can find a necktie in your dad's favorite hunting pattern, like Mossy Oak Breakup or Realtree Hardwoods, and they go well with most suit colors.

Camo Gift Guide #3: Camo wallet

If your dad has had the same wallet since the 1980s, it may be time to encourage him to update. That's easy when he's upgrading from the basic brown or black leather to a nice camo wallet.

If you want to help him make the transition, look for a wallet that's the same style as his old one: for example, if he's been using a bi-fold wallet for as long as you can remember, look for a camo bi-fold wallet instead of a tri-fold.

Camo Gift Guide #4: Camo digital watch

Finding the proper digital watch as a camo gift can help your father both on the clock and while he's out in the woods or on the lake. You can find digital watches that include a compass, altimeter, chronograph and barometer, so not only does it tell time, but it also does other cool stuff that your dad can show off.

How to Use Camouflage Rugs in Home Decor

When you think of redecorating, where does your mind first go? Painting the walls? Adding some wallpaper? Getting new bedding?

How often do you think about redecorating your floor?

You may think that would require too much effort: tearing up and replacing carpet, or getting rid of linoleum to lay down tile. But that's not so! Just adding a camouflage rug to the decor can spruce up your favorite area. Here are some tips for using rugs in your camo décor.

Do I have to start with my rug, or end with it?

Really, it can go either way. Some experts say you should pick your rug out first; others say you should save it for last. If you've found a camouflage rug that you really love, it's perfectly fine to build the room around it. A good rug can really tie a room together.

Indoors and outdoors

With the weather getting warmer, you'll be spending as much time outdoors as you will be indoors. Add a camouflage rug to your favorite outdoor area -- whether it's a back porch or a dock out at the lake. Just make sure that it's weather-resistant if you're going to leave it outdoors all year round.

Camouflage rugs and carpet

Most people think of hard floors, like wood or tile, when they think of adding rugs. However, you can still rock a camouflage rug on carpet! As long as the carpet is fairly low-pile, you can put your rug wherever you'd like.

A rug can add a splash of color to the floor, or help to section off an area of the room without adding a physical divider. If you're worried about the rug sliding on carpet, anchor it with furniture, or use double-sided tape to secure it.

Sizes

If your camouflage rug is too large, it will make the room look small. If it's too small, it won't fit well with your room. A good rule of thumb is to get a rug two feet shorter than the shortest wall of your room. So, if your room is 8 ft. x 10 ft., you would look for a rug that was 6 feet long.

If you're using the rug to section off an area of the room, make sure it's large enough to cover the area, included the front third to half of the furniture. If it's in the dining room, the rug needs to be large enough to not just hold the table, but all the chairs when they're pulled out (which means an extra 18 to 24 inches).

These tips should be enough to get you started on the road to rug happiness. Happy decorating!

New Camouflage Rugs at The Camo Shop Feature Mossy Oak, Camo & Wildlife Patterns

TULSA, Okla. -- With spring in full swing, many people can't wait to redecorate, especially in outdoor areas like lake homes and cabins. The Camo Shop has added several new camouflage rugs to their inventory.

Mossy Oak, Advantage Classic, MAX4, and Realtree camouflage rugs can soften hard wood floors, tile, or concrete. Wildlife Area rugs feature majestic elk, deer, eagles, ducks, bass, and Labradors. The camouflage rugs are built to last, with a fiber twist level 25 percent higher than the industry standard. Soil- and stain-resistant Milliguard treatment makes for easier vacuuming and cleaning

Most of the rugs come in three sizes: 3x4, 4x6, or 5x8.

"They'll fit just about any room, whether small or large, indoors or out," said Tony Brobst, president of The Camo Shop. "If you want to add camo to one of your spaces, a camouflage rug is a great way to do that."

And the rugs aren't just for hard floors, like wood, tile, or concrete. If a house has low-pile carpet, owners can use the rugs on top of that.

"If you're worried about a rug slipping around on carpet, anchor it under furniture or secure it on the bottom with double-sided tape," said Brobst. "It's a good way to add some color to your carpet, or to hide unsightly areas."

Rugs can also be used to section off a room. For example, if you had a game room upstairs and wanted part of that to be a kid's play area, you could use a camouflage rug to delineate the play area from the rest of the room.

"Just make sure that the rug is large enough to cover the area that you want, including the front one-third of any furniture you have on it," Brobst said. "You can use multiple camouflage rugs in one room to create several spaces in there. Just make sure the rugs complement each other."

Of course, inside the home isn't the only place to use a rug. Brobst suggests adding one outside to give your porch or patio a little something extra.

"Since the weather's changed, and you'll be spending a lot of time outside, why not add a rug to your porch or patio?" Brobst said. "A durable camouflage rug softens outdoor living spaces."

Camo Furniture: Decorating Your Game Room

Are you looking to redecorate your game room in the camo fashion? First, allow me to congratulate you on your taste. If your friends and family are as into the outdoors as you are, they'll enjoy the fun gatherings at your place (and they may be just a little bit jealous!).

With a little paint, some camo furniture, and a few other decorations, you can have a great outdoorsy haven indoors in no time.

Decking the walls

The best colors for a camo room are going to be earthy colors, and neutrals will be the easiest to work with. You can go light (like a tan or off-white) or dark (like a chocolate brown), but you won't want to do anything bright (like red) or pastel. (Could you imagine camo furniture and décor in a room with lavender walls? Ick!)

You could also do camo wallpaper, either on all the walls or just on one that you'd like to be a focal point. If the wallpaper is too much for you, a camo wallpaper border could offer just a touch of pattern with the solid color of the walls.

Warming up the floors

If the outdoors is what you're going for, hardwood floors would be the best. They're easy to clean and they keep the whole camo theme going. You could also do acid-stained concrete, and add a few camo area rugs.

If you prefer carpet, keep it a neutral earth tone. Since it's a game room and it will be a high-traffic area, a darker carpet would be a good idea. It would be impossible to keep a light-colored or white carpet clean with people (especially kids) coming and going and bringing in food and drinks.

Camo furniture

The kind of camo furniture you get will depend heavily on who's going to most use your game room. Do you have young children, and you want a place for them and their friends to play? Then add some kids' camo furniture in with your regular-sized stuff. The kids will appreciate having furniture their own size.

If adults are the only ones who will be using your game room, then you can save the kid's camo furniture for when your nieces and nephews visit.

With just a little planning, you can have a camo game room that will make you happy and have all your friends talking. Happy decorating!

Kids Camo Furniture at The Camo Shop, Just in Time for Spring

TULSA, Okla. -- With spring just around the corner, it's time for many people to clean and freshen their homes. For those looking to add extra camo in their life, The Camo Shop has a new line of camo furniture for both kids and adults.

The camo furniture for kids includes a sleeper couch, a club chair, a recliner, and an ottoman, while adults can get a sturdy recliner. All the camo furniture comes in the popular Mossy Oak Break-up pattern.

"The kids' camo furniture is designed for younger kids, between the ages of two and eight," said Tony Brobst, president of The Camo Shop. "So if you've got a bunch of younger kids in your home, this furniture can give them their own place in any outdoor-themed room, whether it's a game room or a bedroom."

The kid's camo recliner has a mixed hardwood frame and a plastic cup holder recessed in one of the arms. The recliner has a safety mechanism that prevents kids from reclining unless the footrest is pulled out, which will keep fingers from getting caught and pinched.

The kid's camo chair is also made with the mixed hardwood frame, and has welt cording on the armrest and front cushion seams.

"This camo furniture is sturdy, so it can stand up to the wear and tear of a kid's room or game room," said Brobst. "They can have a recliner, just like Mom's or Dad's."

Mom and Dad can have their own camo furniture to relax in. The Camo Shop has an adult-sized recliner in the Mossy Oak Break-up pattern. With a hardwood frame, steel-reinforced joints, and an all-steel reclining mechanism, this recliner is made to endure.

"We thought it would be a great setup to have matching father and son recliners in your game room," said Brobst.

Choosing Camo Lingerie – A Buying Guide for Guys

Are you looking to get that special lady in your life some camo lingerie for Valentine's Day? Be sure to take a look at this buying guide before you take out your wallet to make sure that you get something that she'll love.

Baby dolls
These loose-fitting lingerie tops hit at about the hip area, and while the top of it hugs the bust, the bottom half hangs loose and drifts away from the body. It's a very cute way to wear something sexy without being terribly revealing. Because they're loose, they're a good camo lingerie choice for women who aren't crazy about the way they look on top.

Camisoles
These are thin, stretchy tops that resemble tank tops, and they come in all kinds. Some are plain, while others are beribboned, be-laced, and be-jeweled. Some women prefer them to bras, and some women also like to wear them as tops with jeans. Sexy and functional, a camo cami is one of your best bets when it comes to picking camo lingerie.

Boy shorts
This underwear is named so because they're cut a little more like a guy's underwear than a woman's bikini underwear. Although boy shorts look good on most women, they look best on taller women or women with long legs. If you have a lady who prefers more coverage from her underwear, these are an excellent pick.

Thongs
Many guys love to see their women in thongs, but keep in mind that this camo lingerie is best for women who already wear them. If your girl doesn't, don't get her a pair!

Underwire Bras
Bras are typically good for just about any woman, but most especially for those who are more generously gifted. In that case, underwire support is almost a necessity. When picking camo lingerie, you can't go wrong with a cute matching bra-and-panty set.

General tips:

Make sure you get the right size. If it's too big or too small, it will be uncomfortable for her to wear. Check out her lingerie drawer to find sizes, and be sure to ask if a piece of camo lingerie runs small or large. You can always ask for help, even when you're shopping online.

Keep her personal style in mind. Does she like silk and lace, or does she prefer cotton? Is she traditional, or more adventurous? Make sure you get a camo lingerie gift that reflects what she would like and wear, not just what you'd like her to wear.

Just follow these tips, and you'll find the perfect camo lingerie for Valentine's Day.

New Pink Camo Lingerie at The Camo Shop in Time for Valentine's Day

TULSA, Okla. -- Just in time for Valentine's Day, hunters can find new pink camo lingerie at TheCamoShop.com.

The Camo Shop has added two new camo lingerie sets from Naked North: a baby doll set with underwear and a camisole with boy shorts. These are in addition to the pink camo bra and panty set and the pink camo thong that they already carry.

"With new camo lingerie pieces, hunters can find the perfect gift for any women," said Tony Brobst, president of The Camo Shop. "If your wife or girlfriend is a bit wild, we've got thongs and panties. If they like a little more coverage, we have camisoles, baby dolls, and boy shorts. You can find something for just about every taste."

Brobst also has some buying tips for men looking to present their wives or girlfriends with a sexy lingerie gift this Valentine's Day.

"Not all camo lingerie is created equal," Brobst said. "It all depends on the woman's taste, and what she's comfortable wearing."

For example, some women prefer the comfort of camisoles to underwire bras. They can also wear the camisole as a shirt or as an undershirt, making it a versatile choice.

Other women like baby doll tops because they don't cling to the body, so it can hide problem areas on top. Some women will never wear thongs, while others will wear nothing but.

"For this gift, you want something that's going to appeal to her," said Brobst. "Don't step too far outside her comfort zone unless she's an adventurous type."

Brobst also recommends ensuring you get the right size of camo lingerie. Too big, and it will slide off her. Too small, and it won't be comfortable to wear.

"Check her drawer and look for the most-worn pieces of lingerie," said Brobst. "That's the size that you should go with."

Looking for some great camo lingerie? Visit TheCamoShop.com and check out their new line of pink camo lingerie.

Horse Bedroom Theme Decorating Tips

Is it any wonder so many little girls are obsessed with horses? They're tall, sleek, magnificent animals, and riding one is utterly exhilarating. You can almost taste the freedom that comes from riding an animal so fast and powerful.

Sometimes the horse love lasts only a few months, but for other girls, it becomes a lifelong obsession.

How can you make your little girl's room into a horse haven? Follow these tips to create a horse bedroom theme that will have visions of ponies dancing in her head for years to come.

The horse bedding of your dreams

The first thing to do, of course, is to find some horse bedding to set the tone for your horse bedroom. If it's a western theme you're going for (think ranches, cowboys, wide open spaces, and wild mustangs), look for horse bedding with colors like sage green, beige, tan, and dark brown. Also look for bedding that depicts horses running free, rather than penned up in a corral or barn.

It's also a good idea to get more than one comforter set. If you're sticking with the same theme, then multiple horse bedding sets will let you update your horse bedroom without a full redecorating job. It's a quick and easy way to give a bedroom a facelift.

Western walls for your horse bedroom

If you're going for more of a farm theme, see about painting the closet to look like a barn door, or maybe about painting a corral on the walls. If it's a western theme you're after, see about getting lassos or horse shoes as decoration.

If your daughter is old enough, candles or scented oils that recall the smell of a meadow will make a great addition to a horse bedroom. Pictures or blankets that show wide open spaces are also good decorating ideas. You can even put one up on the wall instead of a picture.

Horse accessories – adding the final touch

There are a number of accessories you can get to add to the theme of your horse bedroom. Light switch covers, outlet covers, model horses, and nightlights (depending on the age of your daughter, of course) are just a few that may not immediately come to mind. If your girl has her own bathroom, then you can bring the theme in there with a tissue box cover and a shower curtain.

This is just a starting point. Talk to your girl about what kind of horse bedroom she wants, and get her input on the decorating. You'll be able to give her the bedroom of her dreams. Good luck!

New Horse Bedding Sets Unveiled at The Camo Shop

TULSA, Okla. – The Camo Shop has just added a new line of horse bedding and other horse bedroom products, to make the dreams of little girls everywhere come true.

"It's almost a universal truth that little girls love horses," said Tony Brobst, president of The Camo Shop. "Sometimes that love lasts for a month; sometimes it will last for a lifetime. Either way, we have horse bedding that will give them sweet dreams."

The horse bedding sets, both by Kimlor, feature wild mustangs running free. One, called Horse Stampede, is primarily sage green and beige, while the other, Wild Horses, is dark brown and tan. Both comforter sets come in sizes from twin to king, and the sets include a bedskirt and pillow shams. The comforter shells are 100 percent cotton, and the filling is 100 percent polyester.

Both horse bedding sets also have drapes, window valances, sheets, and decorative pillows sold separately.

"If you're looking to build a bedroom around a western theme, these are the perfect horse bedding sets to do it with," said Brobst.

But it isn't just horse bedding that The Camo Shop has added to its repertoire. Bathroom décor and accessories carry the theme beyond the bedroom with horse shower curtains, horse tissue boxes, outlet covers, light switch covers, clocks, and nightlights.

"We've had a really good response from our customers on the horse bedding and horse accessories," said Brobst. "It's a more western than our usual products, and a new part of the outdoors to explore."

And, he adds, it's a good match for horse lovers.

"If you've got a horse lover in your family, boy or girl, this horse bedding would really give them a room to their tastes."

Right now, The Camo Shop is offering free ground shipping on all orders of $99 or more. Visit www.thecamoshop.com to learn the details.
